"burgushi"

I'm a big sushi fan. When I ate meat, I was also a big burger fan. So when my sister told me about "Burgushi," a hybrid of the two foods, I was both excited and skeptical. Some things just don't go together, and I'm particularly protective of sushi. However, The Cowfish in Charlotte manages to pull this one off! They serve up (among other things) sushi that's made from burger components like beef and burgers made from sushi components like tuna and rice. I ordered the What's Shakin' Tuna Bacon Sandwich (minus the bacon).

Um. It was kind of awesome. Granted, it was no substitute for sushi, but it was good eats, y'all. The "buns" are made of rice and crab inside rice paper and it holds together tuna, lettuce and salsa. Throw some sweet potato fries on the side and you got me.

If you're in Charlotte, I recommend. Even just to say you did it.
